I started playing Guild Wars 2 with some friends again and wondered if I would be able to use a Steam Controller to play it as it's a lot more relaxing than having to use keyboard and mouse like I do the rest of the day already. And for sure, reddit user Bubo_scandiacus / CoryOp already created a pretty nice configuration (and shared it with us) which even adds custom menus with quick chat options!
Unfortunately I didn't quite like some stuff, especially that emotes were missing and that it didn't use any layers but only mode shifting so I decided to improve it and add more functionality that I wanted. (namely an added emote/novelties/mount menu, improved walking and improvement map navigation)
So here is the result:
You can get the config by clicking here. If that link doesn't open Steam for you then you can just search for "
GW2 Total Control v1.1 (mod by The Moep)" in the community configs or manually import this configuration file.
If you want the quick chat and emotes menus to work then you will need this AutoHotkey script to input the text/commands for you. (this would be really annoying to do with the Steam Controller configurator alone so unfortunately we have to resort to that) I suggest putting this (or a link to it) in your autostart folder so that it always runs in the background.
For the novelties/mounts menu to work you need to bind the keys in your options. Just go to your keybind settings menu and bind the keys via the radial menu. They should be similar to the binds of the GW2Radial addon if you used that before but some might need to be modified. (You could also edit the config to just use the GW2Radial instead I guess)
See the original reddit post for a more detailed explanation on how stuff works and how things are setup, I might add all of this here later on.
Btw. if you want to play with me or say thanks, my main char is "Hius Askoa".
This is a list of my favorite animes, both for me to remember them and to share them with others.
Be warned though, there might be lots of sad stuff hidden under the rough surface! (And some cancellations)
Not listed in any particular order.
